Vietnam Petroleum Corporation (Petrolimex) said that all imported petroleum products including A92 and A95 gasoline, DO, FO, kerosene prices fell simultaneously in April 2012.

In detail, A92 gasoline price decreased from USD134.48 a barrel in March to USD131.36 a barrel in April, equivalent USD3.11 a barrel. Similarly, Kerosene price also reduced by USD2.92 a barrel, DO  price downed by USD 3.06 a barrel and FO price dropped by USD18.22 a tonne. As a calculation, with import prices as above, A92 gasoline price has been making profitable VND500-600 a liter

Retailers also said that price reduction in the world market has pushed distriburtors to lift discount for them from VND200-250 a liter to VND400-550 a liter depending on iterm and distributors.
