In Ha Noi, May 24th, General Corporation Oil and technical services air Vietnam (PTSC) General operating company Lam Son (LSJOC) has signed a contract worth USD600 million on supplying services include floating depot, storage, processing and export of crude oil (FPSO) for the Thang Long/Dong Do oil field.

The FPSO floating depot (FPSO ship) is equipped the latest technology oil-separating system in Vietnam. It contains about 350,000 tonnes of oil and process 18,000 barrels a day for 10 consecutive years at field. This is the 6th floating depot invested by PTSC.

As agreed, the contract between parners has effect within 7 years. Accordingly, PTSC assumes the role of consultant–contractor-supplier the equipment, construction, operation. Beside that, PTSC is responsible for other tasks such as design, procurement, repair, testing, transportation, offshore installation operation and maintenance during contract performance.

FPSO is expected to receive its first oil by the end of 2013.
