According to source from Idustrial and Commercial Facility (ICF) in Ha Noi, many local gas stations are in moderate business situation or stoppeding their business activity in recently for low discounts from major distributors.

As known, the mount of discount for dealers range at VND200-300 a liter for gasoline, but after deducting cost of transportation, the real discount dealers get just around VND100-150 a liter, even VND50 a liter at some of them.

ICF said the reason major distributors forced to lower their discounts for dealers is due to the import price of gasoline soaring to higher levels.

Many dealers said that a such low discount are not enough to pay salary for salesmen, not include other costs include electric city cost, fuel wastage, mechanical wear…

Losses occurred, so some of dealers did not purchase for sales. That was the reason why they reduced trading or temporarily closed their business activity.
