In recent days, some gasoline stations in Huong Thuy Commune (Thua Thien Hue) has been closing and hanging a notice –out of gasoline.

Ms Pham Nguyen Phuong- deputy director of Huong Thuy Corporation – the management of these gas stations, said due to losses from gasoline businesses so company decided to discontinue sales.

According to Vietnam petroleum Group, gasoline price in the world market traded at USD132.77 a barrel for April delivery. In March, A92 gasoline price imported at the average USD134.48 a barel, increased by 4.55% compared to average price in February, while DO price up to USD138.08 a barel, increased by USD3.52 over last month.

Due to high import price, so discount for dealers forced to shrink. Currently, distributors are discounting for dealer at VND360-400 a liter. After deducting transportation costs, discount for dealers is about VND100-200 a liter, even VND50 a liter.
