Acording to document released by Ministry of Finance on operating fuel business, import tax rate of gasoline will lift another 3% and other fuel produdts shall up additional 2%.

In detail, the import tax rate of gasoline will lift to 10% from 7%; to 8% from 6% for diesel; and to 10% from 8% for mazut and kerosene.

The increase of import tax rate was decided after Ministry of Industry and Trade and Ministry of Finance altoghether reduced retail prices of fuel about VND300-700 a liter since 16h pm, June 21st. Accordingly, gasoline price lowered by VND700 to VND21,200 a liter, and Diesel price fell by VND400 to VND20,100 a liter.

Since the first time decrease in price in May 9th, import tax rate of fuel has restored to 8-10% from 0%.
