Cooking gas prices increase an additional VND8,000 per cylinder
As of 7:30 am on January 5th, 2012, the retail price of cooking gas has been increased another VND 667 a kg, equivalent to VND 8,000 a 12kg cylinder.
According to retail distributors, the increase in retail price of cooking gas is due to import tax of liquefied petroleum gas up to 5% from 2% since January 1st, 2012. At a result, retail cooking gas lifted to VND 383,000 – 385,000 a 12kg cylinder.
Previously, in the early January, cooking gas price also increased an additional VND24,000 a 12kg cylinder. Thus, less than a week in January 2012, domestic cooking gas prices have been adjusted twice with an total increase of VND 32,000 per 12kg cylinder.
