According to statistics, exports of crude oil of Vietnam in October reached 631,000 tonnes, with a turnover of USD 531.9 million, up by 18.9% in volume and 16.8% in value compared to the previous month, and it also increased by 20.3% and 55.4% in volume and value respectively over the same month last year.

 

In the first ten months this year, exports of crude oil of Vietnam reached 6.9 tonnes, worth USD 6 billion, an crease of 6.3% in volume and 52% in value year on year and accounted for 7.7% in total exports of Vietnam in the first ten month 2011.

 

Japan is the largest customer for Vietnamese crude in the first ten months, about 1.4 million tonnes, worth USD 1.2 billion, up by 475.6% in volume and 720.2% in value over the same period time last year, and accounted for 19.7% in total crude oil export of Vietam.

 

China is the second largest customer. In the first ten months, China bought around 977,000 tonnes crude oil from Vietnam, worth USD 831 million, up by 100.5% in volume and 181.9% in value compared to the same time 2010.

 

And the third is Korea. In the first ten months this year, korea imported about 877,000 tonnes crude oil from Vietnam, worth USD 745.9 million, up by 31.2% and 78.6% in volume and value.

 

However, some countries reduced demand for crude oil of Vietnam include Indonsesia, Singapore, Australia and Thailand.
