According to the latest report of Ministry of Industry and Trade, in the first month of 2012, Vietnamese oil industry has ensured to stabilize the production and investment progress of projects. Oil industry also provided sufficiently and timely key products such as petrol, LPG ... for the domestic market before Tet festival and crude oil for export.

Total output of oil is estimated at 2.12 million tons, included crude oil production reached 1.41 million tons, up 11.6% over the same period; LPG production is estimated at 65.2 thousand tons, up 26.3%; fuel products is estimated at 567.2 thousand tons, up 11.2%; and gas production estimated at 0.71 billion m3, down by 10.2% year on year.

Considering the working time of the Tet month, compared to 2/2011, crude oil production increased 23.7%, LPG up 27.8%, petrol products up 11.8%; and gas production increased 6.0%.
