According to source from Vietnam Gas Association, gas price in the world market has been decreasing significantly since the early March. The April delivery contract price from Aramco was at USD793 a tonne, downed by USD102 a tonne over the early March.

Officials from gas distribiutors said if the world gas price continues to reduce in the coming time may dragg retail of gas price in the domestic to decline, about VND28,000-30,000 a cylinder of 12kg to VND370,000 a cylinder.

At the being time, the domestic gas price has reduced in the past four months with total of VND35,000 a cylinder of 12 kg, but demand of gas is still low because price is higher. Gas price reduction will encourage demand better.
