Mr Nguyen Hoai Giang- General Director of Binh Son Petrochemical Co. Ltd said in July 9th that Dung Quat oil refinery has run again after more than 50 days for technical problem repairs.

According to Hoai Giang, the technical problem repairs completed in July 7th, so the refinery operates at 100% design capacity two days after.

Beforely, about 40 engineers and specialists from mill and Technip contractor worked in three shifts continuously to solve the technical problems and arising technical problems in the process of operating, Giang added.

Currently, investor and main contractor are doing the procedure for last test and official handover in late Q3 this year. After handover, the Dung Quat oil refinery will be fully responsible for the techniques as well as all manufacturing operations.

Dung Quat oil refinery has stoppaged its operation since mid-May for technical problem repairs, so production from plant only reached 2,572,000 tonnes, acounted for 43% the plan.

In 2012, Dung Quat oil refinery planned to produce and sell in the market about 6 million tonnes of product, with turnover of over VND108 trillion and the state budget of 15 trillion.
