Due to stoppage in Dung Quat oil refinery for checksum and technical error repair before the acceptance of work by the end of June, so fuel output in May is expected to reach 309,000 tonnes, down by 44% from previous month.

However, the stoppage of Dung Quat oil Refinery will not effect on domestic supply, because of large inventory. To May 24th, fuel inventory was about 107,000 tonnes.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, crude oil output may reach 6.8 million tonnes in the first five months, up 11.5% over the same period last year.
