As reported by Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Industry and Trade, retail of petroleum products have been ajdusted to reduce since 22h last night (9/5) and import tax rates will be lifted to 3% from 0% prior.

In detail, price of A92 gasoline cut by VND500 a liter since 22h last night (9/5) to VND23,300 a liter, While DO price reduced by VND300 a liter to VND21,600 a liter. Other product prices include Kerosene and Madut still kept flat at VND21,400 a liter and VND19,200 a liter.

Two Ministries also decided to lift import tax rate of petroleum products, to 2% for gasoline and DO; and 3% for madut and kerosene.

Within 30 days from 9th April to 8th May, petrol prices in the world market kept downward trend. Recently, petrol price from China also downed by CNY3 a liter.

The reduction in price is inevitable, but not enough to be accept by people.

Ms Binh in Dinh Cong said that I have just know the news of gasoline price decrease when I came to gas station to buy gasoline in this morning, I am very happy, but I think the reduction is too small compare to the increase previously. Hoping price to be stable or lower in the next time.
