Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Industry and Trade have sent to Major fuel distributors a dispatch suggesting on fuel price operation.

According to the dispatch, the rise of globle fuel price recently has pushed Ministries to recalculated the base price. As the result, the 30-days average base prices of Ron 92 gasoline and mazut are at VND31 and VND248 a liter/kg less than current prices, while the 30-days average base prices of diesel and kerosene are at VND297 and VND464 a liter higher than current prices.

After adding price from the stabilization fund, major distrbutors are making profit VND3-331 a liter/kg for all fuel products. Therefore, the Ministries decide to keep retail fuel prices to unchange, maintain fuel import tax and price of stabilization fund for all, except gasoline.

Ministries require major distributors to stop withrawing price from stabilization fund for gasoline from VND300 to zero a liter. They, simultaneously, also decided to restore fixed profit in the base price structure of all fuel products. The Decision will be effect since 19h, November 6th, 2012.
