According to data released by Ministry of Finance on December 12th, the retail price of gasoline (mainly imports) in Vietnam market brings four taxes, which account for 37,5% of price.

It includes import tax of 12% (VND1,944 a litter); special consumption tax of 10% (VND1,814 a litter), environmental tax of VND1,000 a litter; VAT of 10% (VND2,217 a litter) and other taxes (such as price from stabilization Fund, fixed costs, fixed profits...) account for VND1,474 a litter. Total of price from costs and taxes is at VND8,449 a litter, accounts for 35.7% in price. Currenly, retail price of gasoline in the domestic market is at VND23,650 a litter.

Comparing to it with other countries in region, taxes of gasoline in Combodia account for 26.56% in price; while is at 33.12% in Thai Lan and is at 33.12% in China.
