Consumers worried that price of gasoline in domestic market continue to gain further after major distributors complain about loss of VND1,000 a liter.

Grude oil price in the world market remains upward trend since August 13th and it rose to USD97 a barrel in August 22nd, the highest level from May 7th.

As reported by Mr Tran Ngoc Nam, Deputy General Director of Petrolimex, the difference between base price and current price of gasoline is about VND1,000 a liter and VND500 a liter for kerosene.

According to source from trader of a major distributor in Ha Noi, major distributors consider to lift price again today (23/08). They planned to send a proposal to Ministry of Finance for approving gasoline price increase of VND1,000 a liter.
